KYLESA To Enter Studio Next Week
May 28, 2010Between extensive tours of Europe, Savannah, Georgia-based band KYLESA will enter the studio on May 31 to begin recording the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed album "Static Tensions". The sessions will take place over the month of June at the legendary Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina with Phillip Cope at the helm as producer. After the completion of the recording, the band will return to Europe supporting CONVERGE through August, with U.S. touring plans to be announced shortly.
"Static Tensions", was released in March 2009 via Prosthetic Records. Cope produced the CD, which was also recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina. He stated at the time about the group's mindset during the making of the album, "It was definitely a lot more thought out. We have the hindsight of some of the mistakes we've made in the past, so we were able to avoid making them again on this record. I think we came away from the experience with our best stuff yet."
